Click here to visit the new home of Politics Daily! If you thought that the grand media triptych known as the David Letterman/Sarah Palin feud had finally wound down, you were mistaken. Or, maybe you weren't. After telling a series of controversial jokes about Palin's recent visit to New York City, David Letterman found himself the target of criticism from fans and foes of the Alaska governor alike. Letterman attempted an initial, backhanded apology, but Palin's camp was not amused. A second, much more earnest-sounding apology was put forth, even as Letterman mocked the handful of demonstrators who had gathered outside the Ed Sullivan theater ...
John Ziegler, who was arrested Thursday while trying to cover a journalism awards ceremony, will appear on BlogTalkRadio's Unusable Signal tonight to discuss his arrest. We'll discuss the legal implications of the arrest, and find out why John thinks Katie Couric didn't deserve the award. From Ziegler's press release:USC is giving Couric the award for "Impact on the 2008 Election," specifically for her "extraordinary, persistent and detailed multi-part interviews with Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin." Ziegler noted, "This award is absurd on its face. Obviously Couric is being ...
John Ziegler, the provocateur behind "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Sarah Palin was Targeted," tried to cover attendees of the Walter Cronkite Awards Dinner, but was met with forcible resistance. Campus police at USC set up a barricade for Ziegler that would have prevented him from having access to attendees. Their rationale was based on classifying Ziegler as a "protester."When he set up near the entrance to the event, the police took action. Here's the video:Full Video: Link: I'm no legal expert, so those police might have had some kind of legal fig leaf for what they did, ...
I reported, Wednesday, on a claim by conservative columnist Tom Borelli that Disney CEO Robert Iger had cursed him out at the company's annual shareholder's meeting. I contacted a Disney spokesman, who gave a different account. Borelli's foundation put out a press release yesterday that included my reporting, and refuting Disney's account of the event. Borelli has his own witnesses:The following are statements from Tom Borelli, Deneen Borelli (Tom's wife and fellow of Project 21, who was present), and Steve Milloy (co-director with Tom Borelli of the Free Enterprise Action Fund, which Tom was ...
According to this press release from the National Center for Public Policy Research, Disney CEO Robert Iger used an F-word other than Fantasia at this year's annual shareholders meeting. Conservative columnist Tom Borelli, senior fellow with the organization that put out the press release, claimed that Iger said "F**k you" to him at the meeting:Washington, DC - Walt Disney Company CEO Robert Iger scowled at and said "f- you" to Tom Borelli, director of the National Center for Public Policy Research's Free Enterprise Project, at Tuesday's annual Disney shareholder meeting....Borelli had just ...
No sooner do I give him a positive review of his movie, than he goes and does this. Keith Olbermann let Ziegler have it on Countdown last night, calling him out for calling some conservatives "traitors" for criticizing conservatives. The argument goes that Ziegler is calling himself a traitor. I am going to withold comment on this for now, and see if I can get Ziegler to respond himself. .msnbcLinks {font-size:11px; font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #999; margin-top: 5px; background: transparent; text-align: center; width: 425px;} .msnbcLinks a {text-decoration:none !important; ...
The Media Malpractice filmmaker, and possibly The Daily Beast's Max Blumenthal, live at 11:30 am.Broadcasting Live with Ustream.TV ...
I posted spectator video, earlier, of the tail end of an altercation between "Media Malpractice" filmmaker John Ziegler and The Daily Beast's Max Blumenthal. Immediately afterward, Ziegler came down to Bloggers' Row to tell us all about it. Being the fair-minded guy that I am, I immediately set out to track down Blumenthal's side of the story. Together, their accounts form a weird, blogtastic version of Rashomon. I will be posting the unabridged versions of what they said later. Tommy on: BlogTalkRadio I Digg! Everyone here is buzzing about this confrontation between Howobamagotelected.com's John Ziegler and The Daily Beast's Max Blumenthal. The audio is tough to make out, but the body language is unmistakable. This was about half an hour ago. I just talked to John, and he explained the confrontation, I will have that video in awhile. Tommy on: Daily Dose I I TwitterOrder The Audacity of Democracy Starring Tommy Christopher ...
Beware ladies! Filmmaker and former conservative radio talk show host John Ziegler, (profiled and interviewed by Tommy) who just released "Media Madness. How Obama Got Elected and Palin was Targeted," turns out to be a tad bit self-centered in the dating arena. A little-known appearance on The Learning Channel's "The New Dating Story" was recently unearthed by my friends over at The Political Carnival and shows an egotist with some pretty strange ideas about women who makes not one whiff of an impression on his date. I never would have imagined an ego this large from Mr. Ziegler's recent TV ...
