The top 25 firms grossed $227.5 million in the first six months of 2010, Roll Call reported Wednesday. Four of the five biggest K Street companies reported double-digit gains. They were led by Patton Boggs, which saw a 12.4 percent increase over the same period last year, with $20.8 million in revenue. K Street is awash in anger over new regulations designed to limit influence peddling in Washington, CQ Politics reported Monday. The new policy, announced Sept. 23 by President Obama's "ethics czar," Norm Eisen, prevents federally registered lobbyists from serving on "agency advisory boards and commissions" -- private-sector advisory panels created in the 1970s to give input to the government on various issues.
