Southern California's Huntington Beach Police Department is considering public shaming on Facebook as a strategy for combating drunken drivers. The Orange County city had 274 alcohol-related collisions and 1,687 drunken driving arrests last year alone, ranking it among California's most drunken-driver-addled urban areas, according to a July report cited by the Los Angeles Times. (Oct. 25) -- A car struck and killed a pedestrian this afternoon and then slammed into a school bus in the center of Los Angeles, causing the bus to overturn, witnesses said. A total of 18 students aboard the bus were taken to hospitals with noncritical injuries, police said. "The scene is still active," Los Angeles police Sgt.
