Two lucky worshippers at the Lindenwald Baptist Church in Fairfield will walk away from Easter services $500 richer as part of the congregation's promotional holiday raffle. Pastor Randy Moore says that both the church's mission and the current economy prompted the lottery. "First, we want to be able to present the gospel of Jesus to the world," Moore told AOL News. "And secondly, with the hard economic times we feel we can be a blessing to people. We give missions and money to other lands ...
LONDON (Dec. 13) -- Terry Jones, the firebrand Florida preacher who threatened to burn copies of the Koran on the ninth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, could be banned from visiting Britain. However, British Home Secretary Theresa May said this weekend that she was "actively" considering whether to block the controversial Gainesville, Fla., pastor from entering the ...

Longtime GOP media consultant Alex Castellanos told Politico.com: "For the first time, some Republicans are rethinking Hillary as their first choice. All the sudden you've got two dots and two dots make a line. You start getting some sense of who he is and it's not the Obama you thought – he's not the Tiger Woods of politics." ...
In his short tenure at The New York Times, neo-conservative commentator Bill Kristol has treated readers to his own brand of particularly stodgy, past the sell-by-date punditry. This week's attempted hatchet job on Barack Obama is just the latest Kristol-clear example of journalistic standards gone awry. The piece contends that, for all of Obama's skill as a campaigner, the Illinois senator has been less than forthcoming about whether or not he actually attended a now-famous sermon in which Jeremiah Wright blasted the United States. ...
Before I get to the videos, I want to address our regular readers. I try to check comments a few times a day, and respond, especially to those addressed specifically to me. Sometimes I do it in the story, or in the comments, but often, the person I am responding to has moved on. (This means you, Katherine!) So, if you have a comment or question that you want to be sure I get and respond to, copy me on email at tommychristopher@comcast.net. My comments inbox is too full, this one's better. The title video is somewhere after the jump, and it is Hillary-ous. If you only watch one Video of the ...
