Chinese Infant Formula Fracas: Breast Growth in Babies Prompts Investigation
By Katie Drummond - AOL News(Aug. 12) -- Chinese officials are investigating claims that female infants in the country are developing breasts, allegedly because of tainted formula produced by Synutra International, a Qingdao-based formula company. Four infant girls, so far, seem to show signs of extremely premature puberty. Hormone tests revealed abnormally elevated levels of estradiol and prolactin, two key female reproductive hormones that trigger breast milk production.
