He is accused of killing one woman and seven babies who were born alive at the Women's Medical Society in Philadelphia. Nine of Gosnell's employees have also been charged. According to Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams, Gosnell performed illegal, late-term abortions and used scissors to kill viable babies born after he induced labor.
