First, let's get this out of the way: Helen Thomas' videotaped remarks cannot be condoned or excused. Even in this Internet-fueled Age of Vituperation, what she said was appalling. Send Jews "back" to Germany? Good Lord. Nearly every German Jew was exterminated by the Nazis. Return Jews to Poland?
