The RNC pulled in $5.7 million in January, and its new chairman said $3.5 million of that came in after his election Jan. 14, Roll Call reported. Reince Priebus, who unseated Michael Steele as head of the RNC last week, announced Wednesday that Gillespie was named transition chairman and Ayers will serve as transition director, The New York Times reported.
