Rick Perry

Republican Rick Perry is the longest-serving governor of Texas. He took office in 2000 after Texas Gov. George W. Bush was elected president. Perry was elected to a full term two years later and won re-election in 2006. Previously, the former Air Force pilot served as lieutenant governor, agriculture commissioner and state representative.
