Democrats have included a provision in the $410 billion omnibus spending bill currently winding its way through Congress that would end the D.C. Opportunity Scholarships program. The program provides $7,500 vouchers to some 1,700 low-income families in the nation's capital that can be used to help pay the cost of tuition at private schools.
