Blade Runner: Is a Sequel Really Needed? [POLL]

Is it time to reboot "Blade Runner"? Alcon Entertainment seems to think so. The Warner Bros.-owned production outfit is in the final stages of negotiations to acquire the rights to produce a prequel or sequel of Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi fan-favorite. Some critics -- more from Twitter below -- say that the Harrison Ford cult classic should be laid to rest. Mammoth Moths Take Flight in England (Best of Animals in the News)

(Sept. 8) -- For something with such a giant wingspan, it's a shame these beautiful creatures have such a short lifespan. Boasting 12-inch wings and breathtaking colors, nine Atlas moths (Attacus atlas) -- the world's largest -- recently hatched at the Berkeley Castle Butterfly House in Gloucestershire, England. 'Klingon Community Theater' Takes Center Stage at Comic-Con

(July 20) -- San Diego has a thriving theatrical scene, and acclaimed musicals such as "Jersey Boys," "Tommy" and "The Full Monty" have debuted there before moving on to the Great White Way. However, the most unusual play presented in the city probably has no chance of making it to Broadway, even though it has literally universal appeal. Called "Klingon Lifestyles," it is presented annually at the San Diego Comic-Con by the "Imperial Klingon Vessel Stranglehold," a group of San Diegans who follow the Klingon lifestyle. See if you can catch the oh-so-subtle parallels in this trailer for V:Let me start off by saying that I will totally be watching this. Wild cylons couldn't keep me away. Phasers are set on "Teh Awesome!" You get the picture. The original V had cool effects (for the time), a mean streak of black humor, and a heavy hand ...

Battlestar Galactica: Best Poli-SciFi Videos

Battlestar Galactica, the aforementioned best political show on television, returns to Sci-Fi Channel tonight with the much-awaited movie, "Razor" (check local listings). Check out the trailer and several "flashback" shorts that were shot as backstory for the new movie below. The re-imagined Battlestar Galactica is not your father's space parable. Updated for a generation who thinks Richard Hatch is a tax-dodging reality show winner, this iteration eschews campy mythology references in favor of a much darker political allegory. Those familiar with the show know of it's unblinking examinations ...
