Cristin Milioti rocked "30 Rock." The up-and-coming actress gave a memorable performance on NBC's hit series last night that left the Web buzzing. She guest-starred as Abby Flynn, a female writer hired by Tina Fey's character Liz because of concerns that the fictional show, "TGS With Tracey Jordan," "hates women." Judging by this review from TV Squad, her cameo was a winner: "There are two reasons why the Abby Flynn plot worked. Oh, get your mind out of the gutter! I'm talking about the two different personalities that Cristin Milioti showed: Abby the buxom blond with the baby voice and ...
An Ohio man made an unusual pitch on a TV commercial this week: He used his air time to propose to his girlfriend. David Jones told Dee Horton to look for him appearing as a superhero on a spot at noon on Cleveland's WJW-TV. Horton, who works at a hair salon, was at work during the designated time. The TV station had sent a crew to catch her surprise on film, telling the unsuspecting girlfriend that they were doing a segment on keratin treatments. But instead of seeing Jones dressed as a superhero, Horton saw him on screen talking about their relationship and the obstacles they'd ...
Tell us what you really think. On Thursday, CBS canceled taping of the hit sitcom "Two and a Half Men" for the rest of the season following star Charlie Sheen's colorful tirades against the program's creator. The actor delivered a classic radio meltdown to "Alex Jones Show" listeners that day, calling his boss, Chuck Lorre, a "clown," a "turd" and, just for good measure, a "contaminated little maggot." "Last I checked, [Lorre], I spent close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold," Sheen said. "And the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose ...
This forecast doesn't bode well for San Diego weatherman Joe Lizura. The longtime TV meteorologist -- who recently resigned from his post at KUSI-TV -- has pleaded guilty to engaging in lewd conduct in public after a woman claimed she saw the 49-year-old masturbating behind an office building window, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. In October, a student at San Diego State University told police she was waiting for the bus when she saw Lizura with his pants unzipped, masturbating while looking at her through the glass door of an office building. ...
Actor Johnny Whitaker is most famous for his six seasons on the popular 1960s TV series "Family Affair," but he considers the most important time of his life the 13 years he's been sober. Whitaker's childhood was spent acting on TV shows like "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters" and in family movies like "Tom Sawyer" and "Napoleon and Samantha," where he was often paired with Jodie Foster, to whom he gave her first screen kiss. He looks back on that period fondly, even as he is very happy in his current career as a drug and alcohol counselor at the Tarzana Treatment Centers in Southern ...
NBC thinks Will Ferrell is "kind of a big deal." So much so that as "The Office" bids farewell to Steve Carell, the network has locked down Ferrell to send off the Dunder Mifflin branch manager and ease the transition into the program's post-Michael Scott era. The former "Saturday Night Live" performer will join his "Anchorman" co-star Carell during a four-show arc, including one episode after Carell's departure. But some are not so keen on the reunion. NPR's Linda Holmes says it could be a "bad idea": As I said, I like Ferrell, and I think he's a good actor, and he's not just a big goof. ...
This has been a year full of many memorable moments, including those some would probably like to forget. Politicians, world leaders and TV hosts have all found themselves in moments so awkward, Kanye West would feel uncomfortable. And the sad joke is, yes, folks, it's all on the Internet. Here are my favorite 2010 clips from around the world. 1. Australia's Next Top Model announces wrong winner. Anyone got a time machine? Yes, at the end of a long season, the hostess, Sarah Murdoch, announced the wrong name for 2010's winner of Australia's Next Top Model. This clip demonstrates how not one, ...
(Oct. 29) – Talk about TV drama. A registered sex offender on the run surrendered himself to authorities Thursday -- by giving his identity to a reporter. Police were hunting for Valentino Rodriguez, 46, when he approached Eric Spillman of Los Angeles TV station KTLA, who happened to be interviewing people in east Los Angeles about Rodriguez. Rodriguez walked up to the reporter and introduced himself. "I just turned around and saw him standing there," Spillman said. Rodriguez was released on parole Oct. 4, and police were hunting for him after he cut off his GPS tracking device. ...
