BP Using Diamond-Tipped Saw to Slice Riser Pipe in Attempt to Cap Oil Leak
By Carl Franzen - Politics DailyBP began its latest major attempt to mitigate the flow of oil into the Gulf of Mexico today (after the previous attempts spectacularly), this time using undersea robots equipped with diamond-bladed saws to slice a damaged, 21-inch, oil-conducting pipe known as the riser.
