The first lady was joined by her predecessor, Laura Bush, at the site where 40 passengers and crew of United Flight 93 died when their hijacked plane crashed in a field. Michelle Obama, Laura Bush to Join in 9/11 Commemoration in Pennsylvania
By Alex Wagner - Politics DailyFirst Lady Michelle Obama will join with former First Lady Laura Bush at a ceremony in Shanksville, Pa., on Sept. 11 to commemorate the victims of the terrorist hijacking of United Flight 93 nine years ago, the National Park Foundation announced Monday. The site of the event, the Western Overlook, is the location of the planned Flight 93 National Memorial, which is scheduled for completion in 2011 on the 10-year anniversary of the attacks.
