Missouri lawmakers plan to vote on an amendment to the state constitution that would require voters to show proof of citizenship when registering to vote. By Mark Impomeni - Politics DailyIn a victory for states seeking to curtail voter fraud and for activists seeking to ensure the integrity of election results, the Supreme Court upheld an Indiana law requiring voters to show state-issued photo identification at the polls before being allowed to vote. The 6-3 decision in the consolidated cases of Crawford v. Marion County Election Board and Indiana Democratic Party v. Rokita threw out facial challenges to the law that were brought on behalf of individual Indiana voters.
