The 14 Democrats left for Illinois with no warning on Feb. 17, leaving the Senate with one too few members to vote on the bill. Seven percent are undecided. The margin of error is 3.8 points. A Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Sept. 15 had a similar result. Russ Feingold, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted Sept. 15. One percent prefer some other candidate and 4 percent are undecided. The margin of error is 4 points.
